GOTCHA MATCHA
Matcha Source wanted a rebrand that felt fun and inclusive. To achieve this, a visual identity was created that reflected their wide-ranging audience by designing a set of matcha cups and bowls in various shapes, colors, and sizes—symbolizing the different ways people prepare and enjoy matcha. One of the main challenges was creating a visual identity that stood out in a market saturated with clean, green-packaged matcha products. To address this, a custom logotype was designed with fluid typography that evokes the movement of liquid matcha and steam. While retaining the signature green of the matcha, a range of vibrant colors was introduced to further differentiate the brand. Starting with the signature cafe-grade matcha, a bold red-orange accent was added, contrasting with the matcha’s vibrant green when the can is opened. Each product was then assigned a unique color, reinforcing the concept of individuality and celebrating the diverse ways customers enjoy matcha.
