Jackal
Jackal is a blockchain company offering decentralized data storage solutions for individuals, businesses, and other blockchains.The Jackal team requested a minimalistic color palette with a bright accent color and a logomark that accurately depicted a jackal without being overly literal. The resulting logomark is an abstract representation of the jackal, preserving defining characteristics such as its long legs and back spots to ensure it remained distinct from animals like dogs, wolves, or foxes.
A grid structure was incorporated into the graphic identity, sometimes paired with deliberate off-center typography, as a subtle reference to the decentralized nature of Jackal’s blockchain technology, as well as a graphic pattern that symbolizes Jackal's ability to link multiple users and systems seamlessly within a secure framework.
Deliverables included a new logotype, logomark, typography, color palette, graphic patterns, and brand guidelines document.
