Woodstock: Peace, Love, Music & Mud

In August of 1969, history was made as over 400,000 people gathered for the iconic three-day festival now known as Woodstock, held on a farm in Bethel, New York.

This conceptual picture book draws from a rich collection of photographs and text to capture the essence of the festival. It delves into the planning, preparation, and venue, while also featuring memorable quotes that convey the excitement and playful spirit of the event. More importantly, it highlights the enthusiasm of the attendees, who embraced the rain and mud with carefree excitement as they experienced the first mainstream music festivals that marked generations to come.

Created purely as a work of artistic exploration, this project offers a visual and narrative journey through one of pop culture’s most significant moments.
